We all love a good caffeine jolt, but not all coffee drinks are created equal. Some sweet, creamy concoctions are more like dessert than morning pick-me-ups. Popular chains such as Starbucks, Dunkin and Tim Hortons have perfected these indulgent beverages loaded with sugar, cream and flavour syrups.

A large caramel frozen coffee can pack over 800 calories, and that’s just one drink. Some frappuccinos or blended mochas clock in at 60 or 70 grams of sugar, well above what health experts recommend for an entire day. Dunkin’s caramel crème frozen coffee might push you beyond 100 grams of sugar if you go for the biggest size. That’s an eye-watering figure.
