Here's a remarkable fact: Mississippi, America's poorest state, has a higher GDP per capita than four G7 countries. Even more striking – West Virginia, the second-poorest state, outperforms six of the G7 nations.

The numbers paint a clear picture. Washington DC leads with an extraordinary GDP per capita of $259,954, followed by New York at $110,980 and Massachusetts at $105,164. The US average stands at $81,600 – towering above other G7 nations.

The American economy isn't just powerful, it's accelerating. Between 2020 and 2024, US GDP per capita jumped by $20,000. This is a feat no other G7 country has matched, even looking back to 2010.
