Let me share a fascinating story about how economic growth has transformed – and why we might be entering a new, slower era.

Looking at the numbers since 1950, the transformation has been remarkable. The UK's wealth per person grew by 277 percent, while Germany's shot up by 501 percent and Japan's skyrocketed by an astonishing 1,220 percent.

But here's the interesting bit – we've seen three distinct periods of growth. First came the golden age from 1950 to 1973, with spectacular growth as countries rebuilt after the war. Then from 1973 to 2007, things slowed down a bit. Since 2007, we've seen the slowest growth of all.
